6 Things to know before starting FREE Trial Class for your child.
After checking "HOW TO CHOOSE A GOOD MARTIAL ARTS SCHOOL FOR YOUR CHILD", and booked a FREE trial class, here's friendly guide to help you get ready for your child's first class.
1. Schedule Confirmation: Because "Oops, Wrong Day" Isn't Fun
Double-check the date and time of your trial class. Arriving a little early is a good idea, especially with young children. Being there 5 minutes ahead allows you to meet the instructors, get a feel for the environment, and help your child feel more comfortable. If your child is particularly shy, arriving 10 minutes early can help them acclimate.
2. Location: Avoid Getting Lost in the Bermuda Triangle
Once your schedule is confirmed, make sure you know the location. Kids' classes typically start between 3 PM and 6 PM, which can be a busy time on the roads. Plan a couple of routes to avoid traffic and ensure you arrive on time. No one likes getting stuck behind a train! Let's check "I am stuck behind the train!"
3. Attire: No Jeans Allowed, Unless You're a Denim Ninja
Wear comfortable training clothes that allow you to move freely, like a T-shirt and shorts. Avoid restrictive clothing like jeans, as they can make certain movements difficult and might even cause injuries.
4. Long Hair: Tie It Up or Whip It Back and Forth
If your child have long hair, secure it with a headband or hair tie. This keeps hair from flying around and causing distractions during class.
5. Accessories: Leave the Bling at Home, This isn't a Rap Battle
Remove all accessories such as watches, rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings before class. These can cause injuries or get caught during movements. Keeping accessories off ensures safety for you and your training partners.
6. Additional Items: Water Bottle-Because Sweat Happens
Bring a water bottle. Even a 30-40 minute class can be a good workout, so staying hydrated is important.
