ABBA Martial Arts Peachtree City Participated in 2023 Dragon Boat Festival Peachtree City
The Dragon Boat Festival is held in Peachtree City every year around September. Many people gather together as a group and hold a dragon boat competition. Also many individual businesses participate and promote themselves. American Black Belt Academy participates every year. Our demo team "Typhoon" always participates every year and performs demos in front of many people.
Scarlett started Taekwondo at the age of 3 and a half, has been doing Taekwondo for 8 years, and she is a member of ABBA Martial Arts Demo team. She looked happy in the picture but we know she was so nervous.
Many cars were already full in the surrounding parking lot, so they park their cars far away and she walked to where the members are.
Demo team members who arrived in advance are rehearsing. It was the first event demo for new students, so they were very nervous.
At 12:30, it was time to do our performance. We have set up a safety line around the demonstration area in advance to prevent people from passing by, and our students are setting up for the demonstration.
They are doing intro part in front of a lot of people. As you can see, learning Taekwondo is very helpful in building confidence.
This is a demonstration of Jaden, the demo team captain, showing the tornado kick. Jayden is in charge of power breaking. Power breaking involves breaking 3 to 5 boards at once. He started Taekwondo at American Black Belt Academy Peachtree City at the age of 4 and has been doing Taekwondo for 10 years already.
Noah, the co-coach, also participated in the demo this time. Coach Noah has also been doing Taekwondo for 11 years at ABBA Martial Arts Peachtree City. He is also the longest member of the demo team and now leads the demo team as a co-coach.
Cam is showing a jumping round kick at a finale. Usually, the end of the demo ends with the coolest move like this. This time Cam leaped about 7ft and broke the board. That was awesome!
These are members of our demo team. Jayden, Noah, and Brayden were unable to take a group photo because they were helping the instructor, but we will definitely take a group photo next time. We are so proud of them. Please look forward to our demo team’s great performance next time.
P.S:Lastly, there is a video of our demo team, so please check it out!
